Injuries are going to happen in wrestling, no matter the style, whether it’s a throwback technical style or high-flying and they don’t always heal the way they should.

The star

AEW star Bandido has been sidelined as he went down with an injury while working a match that aired in June on a Rampage episode in a loss to Konosuke Takeshita in a singles match.

It was a wrist injury. Although he was first given a diagnosis of a triangular fibrocartilage complex injury, he wanted to get a second opinion and did so before having the surgery in July.

Setback

Things were looking up for him as Bandido had reportedly been getting close to making an in-ring return. However, he will need to wait a little bit longer as the injury didn’t heal properly and he needed to get another surgery.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported “The timeline for a return we were told is probably May but hopeful for April.”
