The 2023 MLS runner-up will debut in the new season, having missed out on the back-to-back championship in the MLS Cup final against Columbus Crew. Once again, Los Angeles FC is among the contenders expected to go far in the tournament, so their debut generates great anticipation. They finished in third place in the last regular season with 52 points.

Seattle Sounders will travel to BMO Stadium to begin by surprising last season’s runners-up. In the playoffs, they lost to LAFC by 1-0 in the conference semifinals, so this afternoon’s match is a good opportunity for revenge. The team in green jerseys finished the MLS 2023 in second place in the Western Conference with 53 points.
