Skip Bayless makes huge Tom Brady prediction after Netflix roast

Netflix's "The Roast of Tom Brady" became one of the most discussed topics of the sports week and also convinced outspoken FS1 personality Skip Bayless that Brady will thrive in his role as Fox's lead NFL analyst.

"Tom Brady on Sunday night was absolutely brilliant," Bayless said about the roast during the latest edition of his "The Skip Bayless Show" podcast, as shared by Brandon Contes of Awful Announcing. "He showed you why he is the greatest. It was brilliant. He was brilliant. And my biggest takeaway from the night was that Tom Brady will soon become for this network, for Fox Sports, one of the greatest NFL analysts of all time, if not the greatest."

Brady and Fox agreed to a 10-year contract reportedly worth $375M long before he retired from playing "for good" in February 2023. The seven-time Super Bowl champion spent last season away from the NFL but routinely commented on the campaign during weekly episodes of his "Let's Go!" SiriusXM program.

Brady has practiced calling games with lead play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt and seemingly remains committed to joining Fox later this year even though he also plans to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Ringer's Nora Princiotti and Dave Greene of Barrett Sports Media mentioned how Brady delivered numerous funny (and well-scripted) lines during the Netflix roast. Bayless clearly was impressed by what he witnessed and heard.

"That’s who he is," Bayless added about Brady during the podcast. "He shocks the world. He proves everybody wrong. He wins. He always, always wins. And did he ever win on Sunday night. The biggest winner, by far, of the greatest roast of all time was the brains and the guts behind it, was Tom Brady, who knew exactly what he was doing from start to all-time great finish."

Some still believe (and maybe hope) that Brady will again postpone his working relationship with Fox and look to play for a contender during the final quarter or so of the 2024 NFL season. If, however, the roast showed that Brady will boldly speak his mind as a live in-game analyst starting this September, he could eventually prove Bayless right.
