Tom Aspinall has revealed that one proposed UFC 300 title fight will not be happening.

It's clear that the UFC 300 card is looking stacked, but there's one key part missing. That being a headliner worthy of such a historic event. There was one matchup that certainly would've fit the bill, but Aspinall claims it wasn't meant to be.

Aspinall will not be fighting one legend on the UFC 300 card.

In a recent series of posts on his X account, Tom Aspinall made a huge claim. He said the UFC offered him a showdown with Stipe Miocic for UFC 300 on April 13. Aspinall is the interim UFC heavyweight champion, so the bout either would've been for his gold, or Jon Jones could've been stripped of the heavyweight title.

Unfortunately for Aspinall, he will not be getting that fight.

"While we are talking about @stipemiocic, my manager was contacted by the UFC asking if I’d like to fight him on apr 13th. I, of course, accepted."

"A little later, we were told that @stipemiocic doesn’t want to fight me, and only interested in fighting @JonnyBones."

"On that note. I will stop crying, accept it ain’t gonna happen and enjoy the fight that me and all the other fans want to see. Legend vs legend for the heavyweight title. Maximum respect guys. Yay."

Aspinall has been pounding the table to be featured in the next main heavyweight title fight with Jon Jones out of action due to a torn pectoral muscle. He is not a fan of the legacy fight between Jones and Miocic, and feels the UFC's attempt to get the bout going is a waste of time for the heavyweight division.

Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic obviously disagree.
