Once
Marcin
Tybura dragged
Tai Tuivasa
into his world, the result was all but academic.
The Polish heavyweight absorbed some heavy artillery from his
Aussie foe early, then secured a takedown, unleashed heavy
ground-and-pound and rendered his foe unconscious with a rear-naked
choke 4:08 into the opening stanza of their headlining bout at
UFC Fight Night 239 on Saturday night. Tybura is 8-2 in UFC
competition since 2020, while Tuivasa has lost his last four
Octagon appearances.
Here is a by-the-numbers look at UFC Fight Night 239, with

with a rear-naked choke (again) at the 3:54 mark of Round 1.
11: Finishes for
Gerald

Anderson
Silva for the most in the history of the middleweight division.

nine takedowns and enjoyed 5:28 of control time in the win.
1:38: Time of
Jaqueline
Amorim’s first-round armbar of
Cory
McKenna, making it the fourth-fastest submission in UFC
strawweight history. The quickest:
Emily
Whitmire’s 61-second tapout of
Aleksandra
Albu at UFC on ESPN 1 on Feb. 17, 2019.
