MLB home run props for Tuesday 4/16: Against Yanks, this Jay is OK

We were unable to cash a home run prop on Monday night, bringing a brief end to our recent hot streak. Let's start a new one on Tuesday night with our three favorite home run bets for the MLB slate. 

Davis Schneider (+425 DraftKings)

Blue Jays vs. Yankees, 7:07 p.m. ET

Davis Schneider is somewhat of a lefty specialist for the Toronto Blue Jays. The second baseman batted .276 and hit only eight home runs in 116 at-bats last season, but he hit six of those home runs and slugged .837 in his 43 ABs against left-handed pitching. Schneider already has two homers in only 13 at-bats against lefties this season. With lefty Carlos Rodon on the mound for the New York Yankees, this is the perfect time to back Schneider with a HR prop. 

Matt Olson (+330 DK)

Braves vs. Astros, 8:10 p.m. ET

Houston Astros starter Hunter Brown has been smacked around early in the season. The right-hander has given up the highest xwOBA, the second-highest hard-hit rate and the fourth-highest average exit velocity among qualified pitchers. Enter Matt Olson, who ranks eighth in MLB in average exit velocity and 13th in hard-hit rate. Olson cranked 44 homers and slugged .645 against righties last season, so we love the spot here. 

Ronald Acuna Jr. (+400 FanDuel)

Braves vs. Astros, 8:10 p.m. ET

The best lineup in baseball is facing one of the hardest-hit starters in MLB, so of course we're doubling down on the Atlanta Braves. Ronald Acuna is batting .350 with a .885 OPS over his last five games, but he's been a bit unlucky in the power department all year. If there was ever a time for Acuna to break out of his power slump and hit his first homer of the season, it would be Tuesday night.
